Liz Chavez, MS, MCHES

Ms. Liz Chavez has a Master's degree in Health Education from the University of New Mexico. Liz came to The Solutions Group in 1999 as a student intern and now functions as Wellness Program Manager. She is focused on program development and improving worksite wellness. Liz actively finds ways to maintain higher levels of performance and participation in wellness activities. Creativity is a strength that she tries to incorporate not only into wellness programs but to also maintain a good balance in life.

Heidi Vigil,
ACE Certified Fitness Instructor, MS

Ms. Heidi Vigil earned her Masters degree in Health Education from the University of New Mexico. For the past 15 years she has been certified through the American Council on Exercise. Heidi's experience includes working in both the public and private sectors to encourage employees and members to make healthy lifestyle choices. Whether the focus is on fitness, nutrition, stress management or smoking cessation, she is committed to encouraging and educating people to take the appropriate steps to gain control over their lifestyle choices and celebrating their successes.

Raquel Williams,
MA, Ph.D. candidate, CSCS

Ms. Raquel Williams received her Masters degree in Cardiac Rehabilitation from the University of New Mexico. She is currently a PhD candidate in Exercise Science. Raquel has 14 years of experience in the Health and Fitness field.

Ms. Williams has been a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist since 1993. She has been working with weight training for over 20 yrs. Her philosophy on fitness is "You are never to young to start and if you have the desire to change I can help you achieve your goal."

Patricia Roldan, MS

Patricia received a Masters in Medical Sciences from the University of San Carlos of Guatemala and a Masters in Nutrition from the University of New Mexico. She is also certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Group Exercise Instructor and certified by the Albuquerque Soccer Referee Association (ASRA) as a Grade 7 referee.

Professionally, Patricia is motivated in seeing the tremendous shift that is taking place in our health care system today. This shift is one that is focusing on prevention rather than intervention. Her strengths are in topics related to Women's Health and Nutrition.

Patricia has been involved in group exercise for the last 20 years, enjoys organized sports -soccer, basketball and Latin dancing. She believes that when one is connected with their passions, developing a plan for optimizing wellness becomes easy. It is her desire to help people set and attain realistic goals to be the best they can as they age and to have fun while doing it.

Kristin Crosby, MS, RD, LD

Mrs. Kristin Crosby received her Master’s in Exercise Physiology from the University of New Mexico and is currently in the PhD program. She completed her dietetic internship to become a registered dietitian in Kansas City, and has been working in the field of dietetics for 7 years. Kristin is committed to helping individuals achieve a quality and healthy life through successful goal setting and lifestyle changes while emphasizing that both a healthy diet and regular exercise are essential.

Erin Powers, MS
NCSF Certified Personal Trainer

Erin received her Master's in Exercise Physiology from the University of New Mexico. She has been an NCSF Certified Personal Trainer for six years. For the past four years she has been an exclusive one-on-one coach with in-home personal training. In her spare time she also coaches youth sports such as soccer and basketball. Erin is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Albuquerque Soccer League.

Erin focuses on strength training and weight loss with a proper diet. She has found a way to help people from many diversified backgrounds achieve their nutritional, fitness, or personal goals. She is a results driven coach and her words to live by are “Hard work, dedication, and perseverance are how to find your full potential.”

Sharon Griffin, PhD, LN

Sharon E. Griffin holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in exercise technology, exercise science, and exercise physiology respectively and a second M.S. degree in Nutrition. She is a licensed nutritionist in the state of New Mexico and is certified as a health fitness specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine. Her work has been published in professional journals such as "IDEA Fitness Journal," "Sports Medicine" and "Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise," as well as online at Livestrong and My Food Diary. Sharon advocates empowerment through knowledge and has focused her career efforts not only on relaying accurate information to clientele, but also in helping them develop a set of individualized strategies to achieve positive behavior change, improve life quality and attain personalized goals.
