Presbyterian Hospital program helps pediatric patients

January 6, 2020 Featured In the News

Presbyterian recently launched a hospital-based education program for pediatric patients.

This new program, called The Presbyterian Pace Academy, will provide a teacher who will help young patients in the hospital manage their schoolwork and ease their re-entry into a regular classroom setting once they're healthy enough to return to school, KRQE reported.

The program honors the legacy of Kathie Winograd, retiring chair of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services Board of Directors.

Presbyterian will also create a permanent classroom at Presbyterian Hospital so children in the program have an inviting place to learn, called the Kathie Winograd Mindworks Studio.
