Presbyterian Healthcare Services offers post-graduate year one (PGY1) pharmacy practice and post-graduate year two (PGY2) specialty pharmacy residency programs.

    The ASHP-accredited Post-Graduate Year One Pharmacy Residency (PGY1) offered at Presbyterian Hospital in downtown Albuquerque is a flexible program designed to provide residents with unique experiences in both clinical and administrative practice.

Eligibility and Application Requirements

  • United States citizenship or resident status
  • Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC)-Certified pharmacy graduate
  • Eligible for New Mexico pharmacist licensure
  • Complete application submitted through Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) including:
    • letter of intent
    • curriculum vitae
    • academic transcripts
    • three recommendation letters
  • Interview with presentation
  • PGY2 applicants must have a completed or in-progress American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited or candidate-status PGY1 residency
